The Social Value Act (2012) requires public procurement teams to include consideration of social, economic, and environmental elements into their processes. Although it is not a requirement in all cases (currently) it has raised the profile of what we would term sustainability with these teams.
We have worked extensively with procurement teams in universities. We have provided training, helped teams embed sustainability in procurement process and practice and produced a range of sector guidance and insights.
Making sense of the language, the ways of considering and measuring social value and embedding this meaningfully remains the task. We help teams exactly how they can deliver social value.
