This page outlines some useful next steps now you have signed up to use the Supplier Engagement (HE) Tool and we share some guidance documents below explaining how to get the best from your Tool .
Decide who is going to drive use of the tool – all tools need someone responsible for getting them to work. Decide who best fits the bill within your institution. The ideal is a lead from the procurement team who can ensure it is built into procurement process as well as a lead in the environment or sustainability team who can squeeze value out of the data the tool provides.
Make sure you understand what the tool does and how best to use it – read the materials we have written about the tool and the dashboard!
If you have any questions, feel free to arrange a call with one of the NETpositive team and we will help you get on your way. Ensure that before you start to roll out the tool or communicate it you understand what it is, what it can do and the benefits it will bring. You can access these materials here.
Make sure your procurement team understand what the tool does and how to use it – bring your team up to speed!
As a contract management and supplier development tool it is important that your team knows what the tool does.
If the tool lead is confident, they could deliver a session for colleagues, otherwise send them on one of the free training events we will be holding regionally.
We are also happy to deliver sessions with your teams, at your institution (at an additional cost) if you would prefer. Please contact us for information.
Decide which suppliers you are going to send the tool to – develop a rationale that works for you!
How you use the tool is really up to you. We will share different approaches as they emerge to support you to develop a narrative that works for you.
