NETpositive Futures is comprised of sustainability stalwarts and long-term collaborators Jimmy Brannigan and Sheri-Leigh Miles.
Together with our research partners at the Stockholm Environment Institute we have developed the concept of NETpositive and have been delivering practical approaches since 2014.
We can help you with practical solutions, developing and implementing strategies and working with you to create sustainable supply chains.
Jimmy’s career spans more than 30 years working in the sustainability arena where he’s dedicated to assisting a diverse range of private and public sector organisations to seamlessly incorporate environmental and social considerations into their business strategies and operations.
Jimmy is a recognised authority in the fields of sustainability skills and social value. Leveraging his extensive experience, he bridges the gap between enhancing business practices, sustainability, and effective leadership. With his guidance, numerous organisations have transformed their policy ideals into tangible, practical initiatives.
Straight talking and always interested in a new challenge, Jimmy has worked across multiple sectors and on large scale projects including Wembley and Terminal 5. He particularly likes to support organisations who want to make a difference and likes to explore how to maximise their contribution to the environment and society. He believes strongly that an excellent business and a sustainable business are one and the same.
He has extended his support to businesses across Asia, South America and Europe, contributing to their sustainable development journeys.
Sheri-Leigh has more than 20 years’ experience in aiding organisations, teams and networks in evaluating their operational processes and establishing connections between sustainability and organisational excellence. She has an extensive teaching background in sustainability at all levels, most recently as part of the academic team delivering Executive Education (MBA programme) at Newcastle University Business School and was part of the award-winning Ecoversity team at the University of Bradford, delivering some of the first whole-institution approaches to sustainability in UK Higher Education.
Sheri-Leigh combines her hands-on proficiency with a track record of strategic engagement that has been instrumental in shaping the evolution of sustainability within the UK Further and Higher Education sector. Her contributions include a notable 7-year tenure on the Board of the EAUC (Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges), with 4 of those years spent as the Chair. Her leadership coincided with a period of substantial expansion for the organisation, marked by a comprehensive strategic evaluation and its transformation into a charitable entity. As a member of national funding council steering groups, she also contributed significantly to the development and delivery of the sector’s earliest sustainability strategies.
Invited to become a fellow of The RSA (The Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce) in 2019, Sheri-Leigh sits on the steering group for their Sustainability Network, a group of more than 900 sustainability professionals sharing knowledge, resources and promoting specific initiatives and a collaborative approach to sustainability. She is also on the Board of Governors of Change Agents UK a non-profit established to promote public awareness and understanding of the principles of sustainability – and how to put them into practice in life and work.
